The Counselling Experience
People often associate counselling and therapy with pain through recounting emotional turmoil. When you get a massage or see a chiropractor or doctor, sometimes the healing can hurt. What you are left with is relief. The experience Thrive focuses on is one where you feel supported and encouraged. Comfort is hard to get when you're struggling, but we do the best we can to give as much of it as possible so that you can heal in the best setting. It looks different for everyone, which is why it can be hard to describe.

The therapeutic experience should be comfortable and not intimidating. You should feel like it is an opportunity to engage with a counsellor that cares about your wellbeing and helping you succeed. There are a number of services we provide and different styles to meet the needs of each client.
How This Works
Book An Appointment
The first step in the process is to book your appointment. You can book online with the online calendar, use the contact tool to reach us, or call/text at (306)551-7161.
Complete Intake Questions
The intake questions can be found bellow. These enable the counsellor to get to know you so they can start determining what methods of treatment are best suited to you.
Attend Your Appointment
The first meeting is often a "get to know you" session, which is used to assess and understand you best. We need to do this to determine the best kind of therapy to assit you best.
Follow-Ups
Continued sessions are often necessary. The number depends on the situation and individual. Sometimes these sessions will require you to complete some homework to get the most out of counselling.
Progression
As sessions continue we might find there are more subjects that need attention. Counselling continues until the client or counsellor feel that results have been achieved.
Termination
Ending the counselling relationship happens when the client feels their needs have been met, or alternative counselling options are arranged.
